BASEBALL

Minors

Minors, for children aged 9 to 10, is the first level where the ball is pitched by an opposing team player.  Teaching of other basic skills, including fielding, throwing and hitting is advanced further from the Coach's Pitch level.  Teaching expands into the rules of the game.

 

Majors

Majors, for children 11 to 12 years of age, is the first level where players start to experience the real game.  Players are taught game strategy and competitive play.  At this level, one team from Canada will advance to the Little League World Series in Pennsylvania.

 

  Juniors           

Players at the Junior level are 13 to 14 years of age.  The game advances to large diamonds with 80 foot base paths.  Players are also permitted to lead off the bases.  CMBA teams play against Calgary teams in Little League District 3, including teams from Airdrie and Canmore.

 

  Senior League

Seniors is for players aged 15 to 16 with advanced playing skills.  Game level is the real McCoy with 90 foot base paths and 60 foot pitching distance. 

 

  Big League

Big League is for players aged 17 and 18.  This advanced game is one level below the Western Major Baseball League.
