Coach Jason grew up in a small town of Oyen, Alberta where he played almost all the sports the town offered. Hockey, baseball, basketball, volleyball and all the school sports he could sign up for. While he went on to play college volleyball in Calgary his love of baseball stayed with him and now has the opportunity to coach his boys. During his baseball playing days in Oyen, his team played in two provincial finals. Quite an accomplishment for a small-town team.
In 2012 Jason moved to Cochrane with his wife Crystal and children Jaxson and Jace. He became active in coaching as soon as Jaxson was old enough to play sports. As the love of the game grew for his boys Jason decided to take the required coaching courses to receive his coaching designation for the Baseball Alberta league. In 2019 Jason coached a Minor AA baseball team to a provincial final. He has been coaching Cochrane Crush teams for the last three seasons and has enjoyed it immensely.
In Jason’s spare time he enjoys camping, fly fishing and being outdoors with his family.
